Day 1
📍 Kilimanjaro Airport → Arusha
Arrive Kilimanjaro — Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Our team meets you on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and assists with your luggage before the drive to Arusha — the safari capital of northern Tanzania and your base for the adventure ahead. On a clear day the drive offers glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro and the rolling highlands. Arusha itself sits at the foot of Mount Meru and has a lively energy that makes for a fine first night. Settle in, relax and prepare for what starts tomorrow.

Day 2
📍 Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park — a park that rewards those who visit it with some of the most spectacular elephant concentrations in Africa. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source that draws enormous herds of elephants, zebra, wildebeest and buffalo into the open, alongside predators following the game. The park is also famous for its ancient baobab trees, some of them thousands of years old, which give the landscape a character unlike any other in Tanzania. A full day of game drives awaits.

Day 3
📍 Ngorongoro Crater → Serengeti
Ngorongoro Crater & Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, proceed to Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife arenas. Descend onto the crater floor, a self-contained ecosystem roughly 260 square kilometres in size, where lions, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras and the endangered black rhino all live within the confines of the crater walls. The density of wildlife here is remarkable. After your time on the crater floor, continue towards Serengeti National Park through scenic highland landscapes, arriving in the afternoon for check-in and dinner.

Day 4

Full Day in Serengeti National Park
A full, uninterrupted day on the Serengeti — the most famous wildlife stage on earth. The park is home to the Big Five and to vast herds of wildlife that roam across open savannah plains studded with granite kopjes and acacia woodland. Your professional guide knows these plains intimately — where the lion prides rest, where the cheetahs hunt in the open grasslands, and which river crossings attract the crocodiles. Spend the day following the game, taking in the scale of the landscape, and appreciating what makes the Serengeti one of the true wonders of the natural world.

📍 Olduvai Gorge → Ngorongoro Conservation Area → Arusha
Olduvai Gorge & Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge — one of the most significant palaeontological and archaeological sites in the world. It is here that Mary and Louis Leakey discovered some of the earliest known human fossil remains, making Olduvai a place of profound importance in our understanding of human evolution. A guide at the site walks you through the discoveries and the gorge's extraordinary geological history. Continue to Arusha for your final night before Zanzibar.

Transfer to Arusha Airport — Flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar. The transition from five days in the dust and drama of the bush to the warm, salt-scented air of the Indian Ocean coastline is one of travel's most satisfying contrasts. On arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you are met and transferred to your beachfront resort. The rest of the day is yours — the beach, the pool, or simply a long exhale after an extraordinary week on safari.

Zanzibar Beach Relaxation
A full day with nothing to do but enjoy it. Swim in the warm, shallow turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, walk the beach at low tide when the sand stretches out for what seems like miles, or find a shaded spot under a palm tree and stay there for the better part of the day. After the pace and intensity of five safari days, this deliberate slowness is exactly what the body calls for. Meals are at the resort.
